Google vs. Yahoo which is better?

Google is the most used search engine in the world. Why? I s it really better than Yahoo is? This is a question I have asked myself.

I can find what I want on both engines. I think sometime I have more choices on Yahoo than Google because if a page does not meet the Google mold it is hidden where you will never find it. Just because the Google model of what a page should be does not mean it is the best result. For example I googled  ( and googled is now a word) the term Cyberbrokers. This is a term used in business week. See http://www.businessweek.com/1999/99_49/b3658168.htm for the article on Cyberbrokers. What Google has shown as an answer is not any cyberbrokers sites. Not cyberbrokers.com nor cyberbrokers.org either.

I then went to yahoo and entered the same exact term. The #1 listed site was the same business week article but #2 was cyberbrokers.org which to me means it offered a better response to the search request. I then went back to Goolge and start to see of I could find the #2 result from Yahoo on Google. After 5 pages of search I called it quits. This tell me that while Google gave this site little or no value Yahoo gave it very high value.

From the simple search of a simple term I have concluded that Google may not always be the best and can not be the only choice in search engines.
